Teddy Espresso Smithfield is seeking an experienced barista to join our passionate and dynamic team. As a member of our team, you will be responsible for serving quality cups of coffee with friendly customer service-ultimately, we are striving for the best coffee experience.

• Daily maintenance of coffee equipment including opening and cleaning
• Monitor and dial coffees served to maintain the utmost quality of each and every cup
• Prepare a variety of coffee beverages, adhering to our recipes and quality standards
• Ensure presentation of the final products up to standard including latte art
• Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the work-station, ensuring compliance with sanitation regulation
• Efficient communication with team members for smooth workflow
• Read the space and team play for effective and efficient workflow
• Uphold Teddy Espresso's brand image and values at all times

• Minimum 2 years of experience as a Barista in specialty coffee roasters
• Extensive understanding in specialty coffee including Origins, Processing Methods, Varietals and Roasting
• Ability to cup and score in accordance with SCA standard
• Knowledge to create brew recipes with the factors of Grind Size, Dose, Yield, Brew Time and Temperature
• Knowledge of current and past coffee culture
• Knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Flexibility to work weekdays, weekends and holidays as needed
• Strong customer service skill and problem solving skills with a friendly and approachable demeanor
